Unfortunately the preferred drilling site is located in a main Wadi, at the toe of a 120m high plateau and is surrounded by small wadis discharging water from this plateau into the main wadi. A key risk is the flash flooding of the wadis, which may result in destroying the drilling location.
Under the condition to acquire the required design input data, it is believed that the drilling pad can be designed and constructed to reduce the risk to acceptable risk levels.
An assistance is requested from Sogreah in carrying out a hydraulic study resulting in flood levels and associated flood current characteristics for different return periods and for the design of the drilling location (height and flood protection system).
